Divorce

The divorce rates in the United States have continued to rise and are expected to be equal to that of 2011 or possibly even greater for 2012. Many teenagers live in single parent house holds and have been through a divorce, if not multiple. Divorce is one of the many issues a teenager may have to go through in their life and it does take a strong toll on a teenagers life. With personal experience with this, I can relate to the difficulties of losing someone that was once such a big part of your life.
Whatever the reason is for the divorce, you will have that question in the back of your mind asking yourself if it was your fault one of your parents decided to leave. You wonder if they really love you, because if they did, they would stay right? It's hard to understand why someone would walk out of their own kids life and seem to not have a care in the world. Divorce is just one of those things life throws at you and you have to take it and grow stronger from it. You learn to accept the fact that not everyone will always be in your life; some stay and some go and life moves on. Whether you like it or not, it's a learning experience. Maybe not even just for teenagers, maybe for the parents, too.
